The increasing popularity and success of Desert Bells has led to many memorable accomplishments since its inception in 1991.
Olympics, February, 2002
Invited, after audition, by the Olympic Committee, to perform on stage daily in Park City during the second week of competition. Attracting the attention of NBC Channel 12 reporter, Sean McLaughlin, who featured Bronzeworksä consistently for several days during prime time coverage, as well as broadcasting their ringing during opening credits and as a musical backdrop during interviews on the nationally syndicated “Today Show” during that same week.
Celebrity Theater, December, 2002 & 2003Performed at the Phoenix Celebrity Theater in “Alice Cooper’s Christmas Pudding, A Night of Comedy and Music” along with prestigious celebrities such as Alice Cooper, Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers, Kelli Weymouth, Glen Campbell,John O’Hurley, Pat McMahon, and others. The West Valley Fine Arts Council presented a Holiday Concert at the Wigwam Resort presenting Desert Bells with the 60-member Masterworks Chorale.
Phoenix Symphony OrchestraCollaborative concerts for the past fifteen years, including the popular “Symphony for the Schools” concerts performed for schools in Maricopa County.
National Handbell SeminarsFrequently invited to perform at regional and national seminar conferences for Handbell Explorationä. In January, 2002, Bronzeworksä performed in the rotunda of the Capital building in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, in several churches in the area, and at the Handbell Exploration seminar in Hershey, receiving standing ovations and demands for encores at every venue. Bronzeworks performed in 2005 at the National AGEHR Seminar in Dallas, TX.
